May Collective Haul

Since i’ve been buying a few too many things this month on various different shopping trips, I thought i’d show you some of the things i’ve bought as a little spontaneous haul.

After hearing about the brand Seventeen being discontinued I went onto the Boots website and saw some incredible discount on the makeup so I got the Stay time foundation in the shade Fair for an amazing £1.95! I do have a bottle of this which i’ve just started and it’s a nice everyday foundation which is why I thought for under £2, why not stock up. Also from Seventeen, for £1.80 I got the define & conquer contour kit. The contour shade looks light enough for me and seems like it’ll blend out nicely.

The shop that i’ve been to the most over my collective shopping trip has been The Body Shop and I did some damage in there… Most of the products from The Body Shop were bought on separate occasions but I can’t really remember what trip/when I got each product!

The things i’m most excited to try out is the camomile cleansing set that comes with the camomile eye make-up remover, cleansing cloth and cleansing butter. This set was £15 all together and i’ve heard this range is really good for dry skin.

I also decided to try out their eyeshadows and build myself a little quad palette that was £3. The individual eyeshadows were £5 and I got the shades santiago citrine (yellow), scandanvian steel (grey), budelli sand (pink), utah tiffany (purple). The yellow pigmentation is so good and I really want to do a review on these! I’ll admit that I think the individual shadows are a little pricey but if they’re good quality I don’t mind paying the little bit extra, especially with The Body Shop and their loyalty card scheme and how supportive they are towards ending animal testing.

I also picked up some of my all time favoutite bath products, pink grapefruit bath bubble & strawberry bath bomb. These are both £1.50 each and you can pick from a variety of scents. I also saw the cutest nail file to advocate cruelty free products for £2.50 and on my second trip I got a free makeup bag with strawberry conditioner, shea shower cream & almond milk and honey hand cream. I’ve developed such a love for The Body Shop after starting my cruelty free journey.

A trip to Debenhmans to get my eyebrows waved meant I came out with 2 Kat Von D products, but one i’m saving for another blog post! At Debenhams if you buy 2 products from certain brands you get 10% off your total and because I bought 2 things from Kat Von D, I managed to get the Studded kiss lipstick for £15.30. The lady at the Kat Von D counter was so lovely and helped me pick out a really pretty nude shade called Ophelia. I’ve tried this lipstick before in the shade coven so I know I love these lipsticks and this shade is the perfect nude for me.

From Superdrug I picked up a Barrym under the sea butterflyfish nail paint for £3.99 which is a gorgeous light blue shade and then for £1.69 I got the Eylure fake eyelashes Naturals no 015. I’ve had fake eyelashes before and I loved how they look so I wanted to pick up some more.

The last 2 things I got was a mustard colour notebook from Paperchase for £8 and the flake away by Soap & Glory from Boots, again for £8. The reason I got this is because i’ve been wanting to start fake tanning and i’ve heard this is a good exfoliator for that.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Have any of you been shopping lately?

  2. I love reading a good old beauty haul!
I love the chamomile range from The Body Shop; I t’s so good for dry skin! I was so sad to hear that Seventeen have discontinued their line, but you definitely got some bargains! I used to love their foundation, it was my go-to!

  4. So much stuff! I love Soap & Glory body products. I really want to try some Kat Von D but the nearest counter to me is hours away and I want to swatch before I buy online. You did some serious damage in The Body Shop! I had the chamomile cleansing butter years ago. It’s nice but I don’t think it’s the greatest for actually cleaning the skin. And I had no idea Seventeen are being discontinued!!! That’s such a shame! x

  5. I’ve only used the Kat Von D ink liner in “Trooper” and the liquid lipstick in the shade “Bow N Arrow” but I’d love to try some more of her products! I love nude/brown lipsticks so I might have to check those ones out!
I went to Ikea the other day and bought some new cushions and some cacti for my bedroom, and nipped into Lush to buy one of their cleansers and a massage bar! Then I may have just spent £56 in Hollister…oops?

  6. I had no idea that Seventeen was being discontinued! I’m a big fan of the Flake Away body scrub, I used to buy it ALL THE TIME back in the day. Your post reminds me that I should probably get back into it. 🙂 Nice haul, I enjoyed seeing everything you bought!
